လောကနီတိနိဿယ

Bilingual translation of the Lokanīti. As the manuscript is incomplete, the text terminates on verse 7 in chapter 2. The original nissaya by Ññoṅʻ kanʻ Charā toʻ Cakkindābhisirisaddhammadhaja mahādhammarājādhirājaguru (Jambudhaja) was completed on July 27, 1834. In Burmese literary tradition, nīti texts were a genre of didactic poetry in Pali, adapted from and modelled on earlier Sanskrit materials of this genre. They include maxims intented as a guide for everyday conduct. The Lokanīti, alongside with Dhammanīti and Rajanīti, was one of the most popular works of this genre.
