စူဠါမုနိလင်္ကာသစ်

A short versified adaptation of the Cūḷāmuni, a work on predictive astrology. Composed in c. 1780-81 by wundauk Ne myuiʺ Mahāsīhasū (who also received the titles Udinʻ Jeya, Kyoʻ Thaṅʻ Nandamitʻ, Caññʻsū Kyoʻ Thaṅʻ and, later, Caññʻsū Jeya Kyoʻ Thaṅʻ and Ne myuiʺ Nanda Caññʻsū ) as a token of gratitude to King Nga Singu-min. The author appears to be a native of Halin. As the colophon identifies the work as a new poem on the Cūḷāmuni, it might be assumed that earlier adaptations of this text in vernacular verse also existed. Extent and format of original material: 1 fascicle of of 9 inscribed folios. Physical characteristics: Incomplete, folios gai and ghī have fragments missing, folio ghi cracked.
