A beginning portion of a bilingual translation and commentary on the Nemi jātaka (jātaka no. 541) which, in its turn, is a division of the Dasajātaka nissaya, a nissaya on the ten great jātakas. The present manuscript identifies this nissaya as a work composed by Guṇaraṃsālaṅkāra from the village of Mruiṅʻ, however, this attribution can not be taken as secure given the existence of multiple variant versions of Nemi jātaka nissaya attributed alternatingly to Guṇaraṃsālaṅkāra and Upāli. Hence, the authorial identity of this nissaya requires further research. The present testimony has indented folio at the end signifying that the scribal work was terminated on purpose and so the manuscript can not be considered an unfinished copy. Perhaps, it would be more correct to consider it either as an excerpt or as a partial copy. Extent and format of original material: 1 fascicle of 11 inscribed and 1 uninscribed folios. Physical characteristics: Folio [kaṃ] has a fragment with foliation missing.
