၅၅၀ ဇာတ်ဝတ္ထု။ ဧကနိပါတ်ဇာတ်ဝတ္ထု။ မဟာသုပိနဇာတ်ဝတ္ထု

A Burmese adaptation of the Mahāsupina jātaka (jātaka no. 77), extracted from the Ekakanipāta-jātaka vatthu section of the work called 550 jātaka vatthu. Mahāsupina jātaka has special significance in Burmese culture as it contains the story about the sixteen dreams dreamt by Pasenadi, the King of Kosala, foreshadowing the imminent social decline in the future. Multiple adaptations and retelling of this jātaka are a stock feature of Burmese collections of prophetic literature (suikʻ cā). It is highly likely that the extraction of this story from the Ekakanipāta-jātaka and its recopying as a separate manuscript was also guided by the interest in prophetic aspects of the jātaka. Extent and format of original material: 1 fascicle of 13 inscribed and 1 uninscribed folios. Author(s) of original material: Kavindābhisaddhammadhaja mahādhammarājaguru (Kavindābhi), Ññoṅʻ kanʻ Charā toʻ.
