A poem by Muṃ tuiṅʻ paṅʻ Charā toʻ Vaṃsābhilaṅkāradhajarājaguru (composed in 1829 when the author was 51 year old and had 27 years of monastic standing) consisting of concise, easily memorizable lists of categories relevant for lay morality and social conduct. The latter part of the poem provides equally concise treatment of Buddhist observances, the effects of making different donations, etc. More broadly, Suṃʺ puṃ taṃ khyū belongs to a small series of similar works by the same author providing short practical summaries of Buddhist teaching. The version of the poem transmitted in this manuscript has every stanza accompanied by explanatory notes. That is also the case with the manuscript WL-HL-NKB 045 (BAB_KMS000071), however, the version found in the manuscript WL-HL-NKB 365 (BAB_KMS000151) contains no notes. The relationship between the versions and establishing if indeed all versions with notes are identical between themselves and match with the published version of this work require further research.
