Statue: Kunda (Wylie sku ’dra) སྐུ་འདྲ Mid 19th century

An old statue of Tangtong Gyalpo wrapped in a white katak and yellow silk, and with the clothing pierced with two trident headed skewers. Given by Meme Tsewang Namgyal and apparently comes from Purang in Western Tibet. 227 mm. Bundled with a photograph of Sakya Tenzing, head of the Sakya school. One statue.

The material is owned by Meme Lhundup Tstean and has been obtained from sources apart from his family. All the materials in the archive are kept within the prayer room of the house. This was not seen: materials were brought out into the living room to be surveyed and documented.
