An old five section hat stitched together with a cloth headband. Each section is approximately 182 x 95 mm and painted. Perhaps 100 years old? Painted with images of the Buddha. Constructed from a stiff material made from thin layers of cloth bound together with animal skin glue and wheat paste. Local name Bak. The central area of each panel is smooth and contains an image of the Buddha. The outer area is rough textured and decorative. One hat.

The material is owned by Meme Sonam Palden and has been handed down from father to son through several generations of head Buchen. All the materials in the archive are kept within the prayer room of a modern house.
