Täamerä Iyäsus - The Miracles of Jesus [1600-1799]

Manuscript is generally in bad condition. The bookblock - the parchment folios are very deformed, shrunken in all margins due to large water damage. Strong water stain is visible in upper and lower margins with traces of microbiological infection. Edges of all folios are very weak, brittle, shrunken and in dark-brown colour. A glass-like layer, as an effect of gelatinization process of the parchment, can also be observed on all margins. All bifolios are gathered and held together by stab-stitching along the edges of the inner margins of all quires and single folios. Protective strips of parchment are folded on each quire. The binding - The surface of the leather is slightly damaged near the joints, corners and edges of the boards.
