Phachao Sip Pha-Ong (ພະເຈົ້າ 10 ພະອົງ) (1858)

This text is about the Buddha's chanting to Pha Saliboud, for which monks gathered to listen, in which he proclaimed that after the Buddha attained nirvana, Buddhism shall endure for 5000 years; throughout that time period, people will adhere to the teachings in an ever-decreasing manner, their lifespans will get shorter and they will not respect each other, acting similar to beasts. They will lack food, there will be many diseases, and most of the people will die. When the people live longer lives and uphold the precepts, the Bodhisattva will then be born into the world.
