Satyadevapāñcālī - Sana 1200 [1793]

Manuscript is a Pāñcālī, a kind of devotional poetic text associate with a particular deity (deva) which is recited during the worship (pūjā) of a deity. These are typically performed either by Hindus to the deity Nārāyaṇa or by Muslims to a representation of a saint/holy man (pīr). Cotton and wood pulp paper; poor condition, unbound. 12 x 37 cm; 5 folios with cotton wrapping and supplementary notes. Notes and numbers written in a modern Bengali hand: 987.
