Wooden covers

Generally, nepalese manuscripts have covers. They are either metal or wooden. They are significant because they are painted with miniatures of Buddhist deities. Here are 2 pieces of wooden Mss covers with excellent paintings.Its size is 22 X 8.5 CMs. The fist cover has Lokesvara mantra in Tibetan. Its inner side is decorated with 3 tantric deities painted by a Newar artist. In the second cover, the inner part is decorated with Buddha, Dharma and Sangha,The second is a little damaged in the upper right corner.
