Velaz Palacio Matilde periodista argentina [1920s-1950s]

Description: Matilde Velaz Palacios was born in Madrid in the 19th century. She arrived as a little girl and studied singing and declamation that she then reinforced with more studies in Europe. She gave lessons of declamation in Buenos Aires and offered a recitation in the Consejo Nacional de Mujeres (National Council of Women) in 1922. She composed music, wrote poetries, and novels. In 1925, she started to direct the magazine for women Para Tí (For You) where she remained for nine years. She was the editor of many sections of the magazine although she signed many of them with a pseudonym.
