Description: This envelope contains information on the Native Dance Academy founded in the first half of the 20th century. This creation was part of the effort of a group of persons in their search to foster the dance, music, popular traditions and legends from the interior of the province of Santiago del Estero. For example, Andrés Chazarreta was a pioneer in going over the countryside and registering its past. His work was intense but, unfortunately, the shows on provincial tradition such as native dance, did not have economic success nor social acclaim.
