Description: This envelop informs us about the inhabitants of the islands also known as isleros. They are and were independent people who lead a difficult and hard lives as hunters and fishers. During the 19th century, many of them were gauchos that used canoes instead of horses. In 1870s, economic establishments started to settle exporting wood, firewood, charcoal, leather, and fruits.
