Hielo Seco

Description: In Argentina, dry ice was fabricated around the 1910s and, by 1930s, these small factories still produced it. Dry ice was used as a coolant and prevailed before the creation of gel. Thus, it was used for the elaboration of beer, ice-cream, and frozen meat, among other procedures. In 1925, in the United States of America, a modenisation of its use was found due to its central role in the method of direct freezing. This was a general practice in Argentina by the end of the 1930s. Extent and format of original material.
