Description: The Democratic National Party (Partido Demócrata Nacional, PDN) was a conservative political party created by the elite that came to power with the 1930 military coup. Until the 1943 military coup this political power governed Argentina during what is now denominated the Infamous Decade when corruption, murders, and fear prevailed. Extent and format of original material: This envelope contains among other materials: a voting ballot of March, 1938, a handwritten page with the personal data of Dita Esther Barrera, a typewritten document titled Argentina Amo de la GOU (or Argentina, Master of GOU,) a small book titled Declaración Plataforma Carta Orgánica by the Partido Demócrata Nacional or National Democratic Party, a little book titled El momento político or The Political Moment by Matías G. Sánchez Sorondo, 1940, including the speech given by the Assembly that proclaimed the presidential formula Vicchi-Gutiérrez, an empty envelope for the Director of the newspaper El Nacional, Mr. Longo, plus a typewritten letter to Mr. Longo signed by the men in the jail of Villa Devoto.
