The book describes the cataloguing in the former Royal Archive. In each drawer there were kept documents relating to a particular subject of state, for which they were designated: charters, wills, treaties, judgments, among others. This nomenclature is now not used and the lockers are referenced by numbers. The book is part of the Pandurang Pissurlencar collection donated to the Goa University.
