The Third Section adjusted tax revenues and notified new values to be collected and how they would be collected, including the 4% tax on sugar, fishery corrals , enrollment in the Lyceo Parahibano, and the Government Secretariat's profits; Emoluments of the provincial treasury; Emoluments of the Charity Hospital; a 4% duty on cotton; 10% duty on urban buildings; Cigar tax; tax on slave sales ("meia sisa); 5% rights over various articles; 3% tax on leather; Tax on coffee, pharmacies, lottery tickets from other provinces, taverns, distilleries ("alambiques"), tables and jewelry boxes, potteries, fishing rafts, lime kiln, and others.
