Häymanotä ’äbäw - The Faith of the Fathers [ca. 1600 ]

MS NO. 53 174f. Faith of the Fathers (Haymanotä Abew) The manuscript is generally in very bad condition. The bookblock- very deformed and dirty on all surface of the folios. There is a large loss of parchment on outer margin of all folios caused by rodents. Additionally all folios are yellowish and brittle. The glass-like layer, as an effect of gelatinization process of the parchment can be clearly observed. The binding- The bare wooden boards are dirty. The back cover is broken in two places and repaired with the use of cord.
