MS NO. 49 78f. Homily on the Archangel Gabriel The bookblock- deformed and dusty on all surface, but especially on all margins. The edges of all folios are yellowish and very brittle. The glass-like layer, as an effect of gelatinization process of the parchment, can also be observed. A drops of wax are visible in different folios in all the bookblock. The upper corners off all folios are rounded, probably caused by mechanical damage. Last a few quires are particularly dirty with numerous dark spots of mud and unknown substance. There is a brown stain visible on the upper margin (pp. 205-269). The sewing of the book is very weak an repaired with the use of a plastic string. The binding- There is a lack of the leather on the spine and on the surface of covers, near the back of the book. Some smaller losses on the corners and edges of the boards are visible. The leather is dusty and its surface is scratched and partly worn away. The material on the covers is partly unstuck, cracked and fragile on the edges.
