Paper records of Dr. Zokhuma [1914-1945]

Three of the earliest matriculation certificates available in Lushai Hills (today's Mizoram). All bear the seal of the University of Calcutta. The certificates are of both Dr. Zokhuma and his father, T. Luaia, the son of M. Suaka, legendary chief of Durtlang. Also included is Dr. Zokhuma's parents' marriage certificate, which must be one of the earliest Christian marital documents in Lushai Hills. The ceremony was held at Mission Veng Chapel, Aijal: one of the historic churches of Lushai Hills.

Three school certificates, each measuring 299 mm x 201 mm. One marriage certificate, measuring 211 mm x 134 mm.

Pi Thanbuangi notes that the children's drawings on the back of the school certificates were originally on separate, thick, drawing-book paper, which Dr. Zokhuma then pasted onto the back of these certificates to lend them rigidity. Well preserved.
