Description: This volume contains detailed records of cases heard at the Police Court in Waterloo in the Eastern District. The circumstances connected with the case also reveal valuable information on social and economic relationships in the colony, as well as personal information on Liberated Africans. The judgements and sentences passed are also recorded. Extent of original material: 1 volume of 301 folios. Physical characteristics of original: Bound in blue cloth on boards, but the board covers are damaged. The volume is in a fair condition, but some pages are breaking at the edges. There is also some damage from iron gall ink.
