Gerchunoff Alberto [1920s-1950s]

Description: This envelope contains newspapers’ and magazines’ clippings and articles on Alberto Gerchunoff. He was an Argentine writer and journalist born in 1884 in Russia. His works are characterised by the relationship of the Jewish and criollo cultures. In 1927, he directed the newspaper El Mundo of the Haynes Publishing Company. He was a bright writer of both novels and essays although his major skill was writing short stories such as his best work consensually admired, Los gauchos judíos (or The Jewish Gauchos of the Pampa).
