San Blas Varios [1930s-1950s]

Description: In the southern region of the province of Buenos Aires, the Patagonia starts. The Bay of Saint Blas (or Bahía San Blas) is located here and this envelope informs us about it. At first, it was a zone of pirates and adventurers, later on the white land owners arrived and fought with the Native American populations for their lands. A British cattle breeding enterprise—Mulhall, Buckland and Peirano-- exported salt but its main activity has always been fishing. This handmade envelope contains newspapers’ and magazines’ articles and clippings plus engravings and one booklet on the painted skulls of the indigenous cemetery of San Blas printed in 1938. Extent of original: Handmade envelope . Condition of original: Regular condition.
