Terguame Orit Ze Yohannes Afe Werq [17th Century]

It is a parchment manuscript of the commentary of six books: the Pentateuch (Genesis [2b-64a], Exodus [64a-88b], Leviticus [88b-102b], Numbers [102b-116a], Deutronomey [116a-129a]) and the Book of Joshua [129a-145a]. The commentary is a Ge'ez commentary which is recognized as the commentary of Jhon Chrysostom. Though officially known as a translation work, it is seriously revised and used to be given widely in the lay bet tradition.

Physical characteristics: It is a hardbound volume made from wood covered with damp leather. Left leaf of page 018 is erased by water; parchmental damage happened on folio 143 is sewed. The measurement of the manuscript is 32x28x8 and the lines in each page (with some exceptions) are 28.
