Song entitled 'E Elmasa sar merla' [1980s]

Handwritten in pages from school noticebook. The song, by a Baba ('Grandmother') Pembe, was recorded in the village of Stefan Karadzhovo, Bulgaria. It is in the Romani dialect of Turkish Vlax gypsies which is different to the native Romani dialect of the collector. On two half-pages are notes made by Nikola Ivanov with explanations about the role of the song and translation of unknown words. The song is qualified as "very old one" and is sung traditionally in order to give advice to young brides on their behaviour.
