"Tä'amrä Maryam ""Miracles of Mary"" [18th century]"

The core of the Miracles of Mary was translated in late 14th/early 15th century froom Arabic; after that, the collection was greatly enriched and spread over the country in numerous versions (cp. Encyclopaedia Aethiopica IV, 789-95). The miracles are read at numerous church feasts of St. Mary. The manuscript contains 65 miraculous stories about St. Mary, two fine miniatures. Donated by Wäldä Krestos, Wäldä Kidan, Wäldä Haymanot and (fem.) Wälättä Dawit and 'Amätä Mika'el. Scribe unknown.
