The Psalter is one of the most wide-spread works in Ethiopia, used for both the liturgy and private devotion (cp. Encyclopaedia Aethiopica IV, 231-233.). Ethiopic Psalter usually includes, apart from the Psalms, also the Canticles of the Prophets, Song of Songs and Marian works. The manuscript contains a portion of the Ethiopic Psalter. Scribe unknown.
