"Mäshafä Genzät ""The Book of the Funeral Ritual"" [late 19th/early 20th century]"

The text is used for the funeral service. The oldest known manuscripts originate from the 15th century (s. Encyclopaedia Aethiopica II, 748-49). The manuscript contains the Mäshafä Genzät and a marginal note. According to the donation note (fol. 139), the manucsript was donated by Gäbrä Sellase, his wife Amätä Maryam and their other relatives. Scribe unknown.
