A satirical newspaper fiercely critical of the administration of then-President Eduardo López de Romaña. The editors denounce Romaña's election as unconstitutional, arguing it stemmed from the illegitimate dissolution of the National Electoral Board and the creation of a new entity to oversee the elections. The publication as a whole accuses Nicolás de Piérola of entrenching himself in power through the election of his ally, Romaña. The newspaper's director also claims to be a victim of political persecution, alleging illegal raids conducted by the government, and demands constitutional guarantees. Los redactores denuncian la elección de Romaña como un acto contra la Constitución, pues deriva de la ilegítima disolución de la Junta Electoral Nacional y la creación de una nueva entidad encargada de las elecciones. El periódico en su conjunto acusa a Nicolás de Piérola de perpetuarse en el poder a través de la elección de su aliado Romaña. El director del periódico denuncia, además, ser víctima de persecución política y haber sufrido allanamientos ilegales de parte del gobierno, por lo que exige garantías constitucionales. El periódico contiene escritos en verso y prosa, así como también cartas abiertas dirigidas al presidente Lopez de Romaña y publicidad de distintos productos.
