The 'Chacota' is a satirical newspaper that presents itself as a radical opponent of the government of José Pardo. En la portada de este número, se acusa al presidente y a su organización política, el Partido Civil, de ser responsables del asesinato de Rafael Grau, hijo del héroe nacional Miguel Grau y candidato a la Cámara de Diputados. El periódico denuncia que el gobierno de Pardo está al servicio exclusivo de la élite económica en lugar de las masas trabajadoras, y acusa al Partido Civilista de intentar tomar el control de las elecciones al Congreso mediante maniobras políticas deshonestas y otros medios ilegítimos.
