The inscription engraved on the old sluice located near Ammāpaṭṭi of Pēyāl village. The sluice inscription is found engraved on the sluice located on the eastern part of the tank close to the bund. It belongs to the Pēyāl Vaḷaiyāpaṭṭī village. This sluice was established by Aḻakiya Chōḻaṉ Teṉkarai Nāḍāḻvāṉ. This sluice was installed during the 7th regnal year of Kulōttuṅga-II corresponding to 1114 CE. பேயால் கிராமம் அம்மாபட்டி அருகிலுள்ள பேயால் கண்மாயின் பழைய மடைத்தூணில் உள்ள கல்வெட்டு. பேயால் வளையாபட்டி கண்மாயின் பழைய மடைத்தூணில் இக்கல்வெட்டு உள்ளது. குளத்தின் கிழக்குப்பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ள குமிழி குளத்தின் கரை ஓரத்தில் உள்ளது. இந்த குளம் பேயால் கிராமத்தை சார்ந்தது. இக்குமிழி யை அழகிய சோழன் தென்கரை நாடாழ்வான் என்பவன் இரண்டாம் குலோத்துங்கனின் ஏழாம் ஆட்சியாண்டில் (பொ.ஆ. 1114) அமைத்ததாகக் கூறுகிறது. கல்வெட்டு: ஸ்வஸ்தி ஸ்ரீ கொ/லொ[த்]துங்க சோ/ ழதேவர்[கு] யாண்/ டு 7ஆவது/இந்நாட்டு/ பொந்மாந் மாத/ ந்நாந அழகிய/ சோழ தெந்/ கரை நாடாழ்/வாந் புதுக்[கின] குமிழி.
