Letters to Col. Charles Long concerning the latter's estates and affairs in Jamaica [1708-1712]

The letters deal with the mismanagement of overseers, the decay of estate buildings and their repair, runaway slaves and the hiring out of slaves with respect to Long properties, Norbrook, Sevens, Lucky Valley and Bowers. The names of many prominent Jamaican planters are mentioned in the letters, of which the earliest is dated July 9, 1708 and the latest Oct. 10, 1712.
