No interior da Repartição do Corpo de Infantaria da Brigada Militar do Estado a dita autoridade e a patrulha policíal foram agredidos pelo comparsa do acusado, o bacharel Manoel Joaquim de Abreu, que com insultos e ameaças tentava tomar o preso. O acusado foi preso. Ao final dos autos, o réu foi setenciado a um ano e dois meses de prisão simples.
