This is basically a document of nazr, which in the Islamic tradition is believed to protect against the evil eye. The document contains a set of numbers corresponding with ayats in the Quran and each ayat is remedial for certain illness. Reading nadhriya document for the cure of illness is a popular practice among the Muslims of Malabar.
