Sadaqat was an Urdu weekly newspaper published from Kanpur started by Khwaja Abdussalam, who also served as its first editor. It had a long run across the twentieth and twenty-first centuries from March 1925 until 2013. This File contains issues from the year 1927. Condition of original material: Issue 1 includes two additional pages at the beginning which are scans of the binder covers. Issues 2, 5, 6, 8-22 are fragile but generally readable, brittle and wasted after scanning. Issue 3+7 cover pages are missing. Issue 4 pages 5+6 are incorrectly attributed to the previous Issue. Issues 23, 24, issue dated 6 Jul, 3 issues 7-28 Sept, 5 Oct, 21, Dec 1927 all pages are damaged with a tear on the top left corner. 8 issues dated from 13 Jul-31 Aug, 9 issues dated from 12 Oct-14 Dec all have text loss, Hijri date not visible, all pages are damaged with a tear on the top left corner (including cover page missing on issue 27 July). Issue dated 28 Dec 1927 only the first two pages of this Issue are available. All pages in this Issue are damaged with a tear on the top left corner.
