The Phām̐sī [death by hanging] issue of Chand, consisting of approximately four hundred pages, was published during the festival of Diwali in November 1928. Edited by Acharya Chatursen Shastri, this issue is of historic significance. This was the first issue in Chand’s seventh year of publication. This issue focuses on life histories of freedom fighters who were martyred on the hangman’s noose as a punishment for participating in the Indian anti-colonial movement. It includes the stories of valiant sacrifices made by heroes and heroines from France, and other regions and countries like Europe, Scotland, and Rome. It illustrates the histories of those struggles and revolutions. Other related regions, towns and cities provided by project holder: 'Uttar Pradesh; United Provinces. Allahabad; Prayagraj'.

चाँद के फाँसी अंक का प्रकाशन नवंबर 1928 में दिवाली के अवसर पर हुआ था, जो तक़रीबन चार सौ पृष्ठों का था। आचार्य चतुरसेन शास्त्री के संपादन में निकले इस अंक का ऐतिहासिक महत्व है। यह चाँद के सातवें वर्ष का प्रथम अंक है। इस अंक में मौत की सज़ा पाए शहीद देशभक्त बलिदानियों के जीवनवृत्त हैं। इसके साथ फ़्रांस सहित, युरोप, स्कॉटलैन्ड आदि प्रसिद्ध देशों के नायक-नायिकाओं के संघर्ष और त्याग की कहानियाँ और विभिन्न देशों की क्रांतियों के सचित्र इतिहास भी प्रकाशित हैं।.
