El inspector indica que no es correcto que los médicos del hospicio realicen los certificados de admisión de los pacientes, cuando son estos quienes deben de corroborar el diagnóstico hecho por otros médicos externos; informa que los médicos deben de realizar las visitas médicas diarias de 8 a 9 de la mañana; sostiene que no es conveniente construir seis celdas de aislamiento para los pacientes con problemas de conducta, ya que falta poco tiempo para la inauguración del nuevo hospicio general. La madre superiora propone usar el presupuesto dado para la compra de vestidos en la adquisición de 167 frazadas de la fábrica Santa Catalina. Además, solicita la compra de 600 kilogramos de tabaco libre de impuesto. Los doctores Matto y Mayorga indican al inspector aceptar los aparatos de electricidad médica que la casa Reiniger Gebbert y Schall proponen vender para el gabinete electroterápico.
