Kayanakhon or Kāyanagara (the body city) describes our body as a city and our mind as a king called Cittarat or Cittaraja who governs the city, and the diseases as enemies. The body city has its area of only one wa (two metres) of length and one palm span (twenty-five centimetres) of thickness. It has four layers of fences including skin, flesh, tendons and bones; four fortresses including hair, fur, nails and teeth; nine passages including mouth, butt hole, pee tube, both nostrils, two eyes and both auditory canals; and five sensitive material qualities including eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and body. The King Cittarat has two queens including the Queen of Avijja (ignorance) and the Queen of Tanha (craving); and four ministers including Lobha (greed), Dosa (hatred), Kodha (anger), and Moha (delusion). Colophon: Folio 13 on the recto side: The writing was accomplished at the time of thae kai thiang (between 9.00–10.30 o’clock) on the first day of the week (Sunday), the first day of the waning moon of the sixth lunar month. Somdet Chao Khantisapanny sponsored the making of the Dhamma scripture in order to dedicate to his masters who aldeady died to the other world, named Sathu Khu of Vat Chomphet. He jointly with Hua Chao Tü sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Kāyanakhòn (the kingdom of the body) to support the Teachings of the Buddha. May we both achieve all our desires and wishes. On the other hand, [may the results of this merit suppot Sathu Khu], if he is a misery place, move him to a good place. Nirvana is the greatest bliss.
