Sapnam (word of noun) refers to the sound or accents that indicate the names of people, animals, things, places and also indicate the characteristics of the people, animals, things, places. There are three kinds of nouns including noun, adjective amd pronoun. The text was written in the form of translation of Pali into Lao that means the Pali word with its translation in Lao word by word. This text is used for studying the Pali language. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Chunlasangkat hundren 7 ten 7 (corresponding with CS 1177), a hap khai year, the second day of the waning moon of the first lunar month, the second day of the week (Monday), a kat khai day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o'clock). Chao Nang Rasakumali, the queen of Chanthabuli kingdom had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Sap Nam, in order to offer this manuscript to her mother who is the queen of the kingdom of Sisatthanakhanahut uttama Rasathani, in order to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition to reach Nibbāna.
