The story of a chicken. One day, Thao Kampha (the orphan) saw a beautiful and fragrant chicken. He then chased after her, but caught only a feathur. The chicken ran into the hole. The feather sent a fragrance all over the city. Until the news reached the king, he announced to find someone to catch the chicken. Thao Kampha volunteered to go down and capture the chicken. But he had a condition that the king had to provide for his mother. When the orphan went down into the hole, he saw a beautiful girl who was the kai kaeo chicken. The two fell in love and became married. But the king snatched the orphan and took his wife. This made trouble to the angels who must help the orphan. When the orphan realized that the king has broken his promise and takes his wife away, they go to war. Eventually, the orphan was the conqueror and became the ruler of the city and regained his wife.
