Mahāpaṭṭhāna is the seventh book of the Abhidhamma explains the 24 factors and presents the causal relations of all the Dhammas. It is a scripture that the Buddha has prophesied that will be lost as the first book. Because it is a scripture with the delicate contents, profoundness, prudence and with the factors of ultimate reality. When the Buddha considered the 7 Abhidhamma scriptures, starting from the 1st to 6th scriptures respectively, nothing special happened. However, when the Buddha considered this seventh book, six rays emerged from his body. Colophon: Folio 47 on the recto side: In Chunlasangkatrasa (CS) 1274, a tao chai year, on the second day of the waning moon of the second lunar month, the second day of the week (Monday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Mae Khambut from Hua Phon village together with all her relatives, parent and siblings had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Phamahapatthan (Satipatthana), fascicle 7, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Sudinnaṃ vatta me dānaṃ nibbānaṃ paranaṃ sukhaṃ (May the alms that I have already given be a condition to reach Nibbāna which is the greatest bliss).
