ທໍາມະຣັດຕະນະສູດ (ຜູກຕົ້ນ)

ໃນສະໄໝພຸດທະການ ມີກະສັດສອງຕະກູນໄດ້ທະເລາະກັນ, ຝ່າຍໜຶ່ງມາຈາກເມືອງກະບິນລະພັດແລະອີກຝ່າຍໜຶ່ງມາຈາກເມືອງໂກລິຍະ ທັງສອງຝ່າຍເປັນຍາດຕິພີ່ນ້ອງຂອງພະພຸດທະອົງ. ຕະກູນສາກະຍະວົງເປັນຍາດຕິພີ່ນ້ອງຝ່າຍພະພຸດທະບິດາ ແລະຕະກູນໂກລິຍະວົງເປັນຍາດຕິພີ່ນ້ອງຝ່າຍພະພຸດທະມານດາ. ທັງສອງຝ່າຍທະເລາະວິວາດກັນເລື່ອງຍາດນໍ້າໃນແມ່ນໍ້າໂຣຫິນີ ເນື່ອງຈາກຝົນແລ້ງ ນໍ້າຈຶ່ງບໍ່ພຽງພໍໃນການເຮັດນາ ເປັນເຫດໃຫ້ເກີດການທະເລາະວິວາດກັນ. ໃນຄັ້ງນັ້ນ ພະພຸດທະອົງປະທັບຢູ່ວັດພະເຊຕະວັນ ເມືອງສາວັດຖີ ເມື່ອໄດ້ອອກຈາກນິໂຣດສະມາບັດແລ້ວ ກໍ່ຊົງຊາບດ້ວຍພະຍານ ຈຶ່ງສະເດັດໄປຫ້າມສົງຄາມ ໂດຍຕັດໃຫ້ເຫັນເຖິງຄວາມບໍ່ສົມຄວນທີ່ກະສັດທັງສອງຕະກູນຈະມາຂ້າຟັນກັນດ້ວຍສາເຫດພຽງການຍາດແຍ່ງນໍ້າເຂົ້ານາ ພ້ອມກັບຕັດເຕືອນສະຕິລະຫວ່າງນໍ້າກັບຄວາມເປັນພີ່ນ້ອງ ອັນໃດມີຄວາມສໍາຄັນຍິ່ງກວ່າກັນ ທັງສອງຝ່າຍຈຶ່ງໄດ້ສະຕິຄືນດີກັນ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ ໒໖ ໜ້າ ໑: ສັງກາດຣາຊະໄດ້ ໑໒໗໑ ຕົວປີກັດເຮົ້າ ເດືອນ ໑໐ ຂຶ້ນ ໕ ຄໍ່າ ວັນ ໑ ມື້ເຕົ່າໃຈ້ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມກອງງາຍ ໝາຍມີ ທຸຄໍາແວ່ນ ມີໃຈໃສສັດທາອັນຍິ່ງຈິ່ງໄດ້ສ້າງ ທໍາມະຣັດຕະນະສູດ ມັດນີ້ໄວ້ກັບວໍຣະພຸດທະສາສະໜາ ພະໂຄດົມເຈົ້າ ຕາບເທົ້າເຖິງ ໕໐໐໐ ພະວັດສາ ຂໍໃຫ້ໄດ້ດັ່ງຄໍາມັກຄໍາປາດຖະໜາຊູ່ເຍື່ອງຊູ່ປະການກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ ນິບພານະ ປັດຈະໂຍ ໂຫຕຸ ໂນ ນິດຈັງ ທຸວັງ ທຸວັງ.

In the Buddha’s time, there were two families of kings who fought against each other, one from Kapilavatthu and the other from Koliya. Both sides were relatives of the Buddha. The Sakya clan was a relative on the father's side and the Kolia clan was a relative on the mother's side. Both sides are arguing about water shortage in the Rohini River due to dry rain. The water was not enough for farming, causing droughts. At that time, the Buddha was dwelling at the Jetavana monastery. When he left Nirodhasamāpatti (attainment of extinction), he knew by his super knowledge. So he went to forbid war by saying that it was inappropriate for the kings of the two clans to kill each other for the reason of fighting for rice water along with reminding the relationship between water and brotherhood, which is more important. Both sides then could be reconciled. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Sangkatrasa (CS) 1271, a kat hao year, the fifth day of the waxing moon of the tenth lunar month, a moeng sai day, the first day of the week (Sunday), a tao chai day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o'clock). Princess Khamvaen had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of the manuscript-bundle entitled Dhamma Rattanasut to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May all my wishes and desires come true. Nibbāna paccayo hontu no niccaṃ dhuvaṃ (May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna constantly and certainly).
