Vinaya text of Pacittiya, the content tells the cause of the prescription of the offence of Pacittiya. On one occasion, while dwelling at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi, the Buddha spoke about Sabbaggiya bhikkhus (a group of six monks). At that time, there was a group of senior monks who were repairing an abode, hoping to live in for the Buddhist Lent. Once the restoration of the abode has completed, the group of six monks chased the group of elders to go to another place. So there was a dispute. The Buddha reprimanded the group of six monks and decreed that “Any bhikkhu who is angry, upset or displeased in any way and chases other bhikkhu out of the temple or asks others to drive other bhikkhus out of the temple, he must be confessed of Pacittiya.
