Thet text tells the story of two friend kings that were King Dhammajaraja, the ruler of the kingdom of Sakkaravatti and King Panca Adhi, the ruler of the kingdom of Panchara. King Dhammajaraja believed in the Triple Gem and had the right view, while King Panca Adhi did not believe in the Triple Gem and had a wrong view. One day, King Panca-adhi gave a red silk cloth to King Dhammajaraja. The cloth had a beautiful red color like the rising sun. Then King Dhammajaraja painted the image of the Buddha on that piece of cloth and then prayed that, may the Buddha play his miracle in order to help King Panca Adhi who had the wrong view. Later on, the Buddha along with his disciples came to the city of Panchara for collecting alms. When King Panca Adhi saw the Buddha and monks, he was faithful in the Buddha and invited the Buddha and all the monks entered into his palace. The king then took the Buddha as his refuge since then.
