Arabic Letter Book 20th April 1878 - 22 March 1881

The volume contains letters written in Arabic by rulers in areas surrounding the colony of Sierra Leone including Port Loko, Moria, or Bullom. They are addressed to the governor. It also includes the English translation of the correspondence as well as Arabic and English letters from the Governor to these rulers. The letters refer to financial transactions, news and diplomacy reports.
