Iluppaikudipatti

The sluice called kilakkumadai is located close to the bank on the eastern side of the tank. This tank belongs to the Iluppaikudi village. The inscription refers to the establishment of the sluice by Sattiran. On the palaeographical ground, it could be dated to 15the century CE. Inscription: cupamastu/ sāṭṭira[ṉ]/ kōtāṉa/ m paṇṇiṉa/ ciṟuvālac ca/ muttiram. குளத்தின் கிழக்குப்பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ள கிழக்குமடை என்று அழைக்கப்படுகின்ற குமிழி குளத்தின் கரைக்கு அருகாமையில் உள்ளது. இந்த குளம் இலுப்பைக்குடிப்பட்டி கிராமத்தை சார்ந்தது. இக்குமுழியை சாத்திறன் என்பவன்அமைத்ததாகக் கூறுகிறது. எழுத்தமைதியின் அடிப்படையில் இது கி.பி.15ஆம் நூற்றாண்டை சார்ந்ததாகும். கல்வெட்டு: சுபமஸ்து/ சாத்திற(ன்)/ கோதான/ ம் பண்ணின/ சிறுவாலச் ச/ முத்திரம்.
