Perungkudipatti

This inscription is found on the pillar of the eastern sluice located on the northern part of the Sethurāyapuḷḷīpaṭṭī village tank. This sluice was erected by the Tiruciṟṟambalam Uḍaiyāṉ. On the palaeographical ground, it could be dated to 10th century CE. Inscription: Svasti/ srī tirucci/ ṟṟampala/ m uṭai/ yāṉ. பெருங்குடிப்பட்டி கண்மாயின் கிழக்கு மடைத்தூணில் இக்கல்வெட்டு உள்ளது. குளத்தின் வடக்குப்பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ள குமிழி குளத்தின் கரையை ஒட்டியே உள்ளது. இந்த குளம் பெருங்குடிப்பட்டி கிராமத்தை சார்ந்தது. இக்குமுழியை திருச்சிற்றம்பலம் உடையான் என்பவன் அமைத்ததாகக் கூறுகிறது. எழுத்தமைதியின் அடிப்படையில் இது கி.பி.10ஆம் நூற்றாண்டை சார்ந்ததாகும். கல்வெட்டு: ஸ்வஸ்தி/ ஸ்ரீ திருச்சி/ ற்றம்பல/ ம் உடை/ யான்.
