Perumanadu

There are three sluices in the tank of Perumānāḍu called periyamaḍai. The inscription is found in the northern sluice. This sluice is found on the eastern part of the tank close to the bund. This tank belongs to the Perumānāḍu village. This was installed by the Lōganāthaṉ. On the palaeographical ground, it could be dated to the 10th century CE Inscription: srī va…/ lōga nā/ taṉ. பெருமாநாடு பெரிய கண்மாயில் மூன்று குமிழிகள் உள்ளன. இதில் வடக்கு மடைத்தூணில் இக்கல்வெட்டு உள்ளது. குளத்தின் கிழக்குப்பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ள குமிழி குளத்தின் கரை ஓரத்தில் உள்ளது. இந்த குளம் பெருமாநாடு கிராமத்தை சார்ந்தது. இக்குமுழியை லோகநாதன் என்பவன் அமைத்ததாகக் கூறுகிறது. எழுத்தமைதியின் அடிப்படையில் இது கி.பி.10ஆம் நூற்றாண்டை சார்ந்ததாகும். கல்வெட்டு: ஸ்ரீ வ… லோக நா தந்.
