This exercise book was written by a student at the Openbare Normaal School of the Inlandse Hulpond in Surakarta. Unlike suggested in its title, which is crossed out for a reason, the notebook does not treat economics. It starts by discussing the first pensionary of the Batavian council Rutger Jan Schimmel-pennick (in office c. 1800) and then moves on to treat European geography. It subsequently shifts focus to physics and geometry. Thereafter, it continues with typographic exercises and several drawings. The following topics are astronomy and chemistry. Economics are not discussed at all.
